The XYZ_Firmware_Flasher Tool use original encrypted Firmware files to Update/Downgrade. Today I would like to share siple way to downgrade all daVinci printers (SAM4 based) to any older Firmware. Thanks to all and Specialy to for his hard work.
Da vinci aio downgrade firmware serial number#
Second i did was, convert a dumped fw 1.1.1 with the serial number of the machine and burn>flash with BOSSA. With many hours of wasting time and a coreboard, Thanks to, i find the solution.įirst, 1.1.5 is not a good choice to use re tagged chips. It only worked if dumped to 1.1.5 and updated with XYZprint program to 1.1.8. nfc system newer worked because i flashed it with the packed bump file, (not converting it with customising serial number) Tryed many ways, updating, downgrading flashing many times with many firmwares. Things get f*cked up since then.įirst i erase the boot of new coreboard and flash it with BOSSA to 1.1.5 directly. My first try was a failure and lost coreboard.

Read this posts about offline update method. So for daVinci MiniMaker for example: -> downgrade from v1.1.8 to v1.1.0 -> offline update to v1.1.5 It is always better to downgrade to very lower version and then use the "offline update mode" or my Tool on the first post to update to any other wished firmware version you like! Disconnect the flex/ribbon cable from the extruder or printer mainboard to avoid extruder overheating. You will need to insert it back to avoid random/unknown problems yet. You can find printer serial number on the back side (near barcode). You did not customize the serial number, so it is all zero at the moment. you did not followed what I wrote/suggest on my "downgrading/recovery post". Modfreakz please not post, PM, E-Mail or open new thread about the same problem, we are here and will help you!

Please helpĭid you notice in the other thread that you quoted that he had to totally remove the newer XYZprint from his computer and install an older version in order for the NFC to work? Anyone has any idea whats wrong ? If i update to latest, ewerything works fine. If someone post from where we can download XYZprint 1.3.0 will be great.Īfter i downgrade my minimaker from 1.1.8 to lower versions, the NFC system stop working. I hope this helps to someone else with the same problem. Then using XYZprint 1.3.0 + firmware 1.3.1 I'm able to use again ReelTool app and use all my filaments. but using the Windows restore point I rollbacked the version and now all is working fine again. I was trying to find in the web the old version XYZprint 1.3.0 without success.

I thought from the beggining that the issue was due to the firmware update, but I was wrong, the rule was injected by the software XYZprint 1.3.2. My short-term fix is to use the few XYZ tags I have for all my filament but I have a big print run of end-of-year student projects coming up and I'm worried about running out.Īfter the last firmware update of my DaVinci miniW to 1.3.1, all my filaments were displaying an error "filament serial number was temporarily suspended". So my question is: Is there any way to fix this other than rolling back the firmware? (The printer is the school's not mine, and frankly I'm scared to death I'll brick it.) And if I do roll back, am I right that the easier method outlined in the first post should work, since I haven't gone all the way to firmware 2.4.6? At this point, I'm thinking the updated firmware is to blame. (Edit: I also had the laptop on Airplane mode so unconnected to the network.) The XYZ software is still seeing my paper tags as illegal and telling me to insert a genuine cartridge. I have played with the settings settling on the ones in the image below as least likely to "offend" the printer.

I've used both the NTAG Refill Tool (to create new tags, not refill) and ReelTool on my Android phone. 1w, firmware 2.4.5, software 2.1.4.2 (I used the download in one of the other forums to revert to an older version).Ĭreating paper tags used to work fine, but now the system is identifying them as "not XYZ" filament and refusing to print. I spent the weekend reading forums looking for guidance but a good chunk of it was over my head, I'm afraid. I'm a school library media specialist and moderately outside my tech comfort zone here, but desperately trying to get my printer working again after I naively upgraded.
